Saturday Nerves
On Saturday morning last I was asked to accompany Conor from Purple House, to TV3 studios, to appear on the Saturday am breakfast show telling all about the Sumo Run that took place in Marlay Park the following day.
Although I have a few radio interviews under my belt, live TV was taking it to another nervous level! I had the pleasure of putting presenters Anna Daly & Tommy Martin through their paces with some warm up exercises, while they were inside huge inflatable Sumo suits!
There were plenty of laughs and almost tumbles! For those of you who missed it or those of you who would like another giggle, see the link below to the clip from Saturday morning – not too be missed for the fun factor!
Sunday’s Sumo Run
After the fun antics of Saturday in TV3, we volunteered our Well-Being services at the Sumo Run in Marlay Park on Sunday morning. For those of you who don’t know the Sumo Run is Ireland’s most unique 5km fun run in inflatable Sumo suits to raise funds for Purple Cancer Support!
The Remedy team warmed up the Sumo’s with some Yoga moves, along with some fun exercises at the start line, before setting off. We also were there to assist post run – Deirdre our Massage therapist had a Q of Sumos to avail of her Post run Cool Down Massage.
There was a wonderful belly laugh atmosphere from start to finish, so many wonderful people volunteering too. After the run the Purple House Choir entertained the crowd and were a wonderful finish to a fantastic and enjoyable morning. Phew!
We are looking forward to the next adventure already!
